I am an Assistant Professor of Finance at the C.T. Bauer College of Business at the University of Houston.
I completed my PhD in economics at Columbia University in 2023. I also hold a bachelor's in engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee and an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad.
My research typically focuses on political economy and finance although, to quote Amartya Sen, "the union of my interests in the two fields far exceeds their intersection."
A lot of my current work is in climate economics and finance; in local governments, their financial health and sustainability; media economics.
